{"id":136,"date":"2010-10-08T08:05:47","date_gmt":"2010-10-08T14:05:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.shadowkatmandu.net\/?p=136"},"modified":"2010-10-08T08:06:03","modified_gmt":"2010-10-08T14:06:03","slug":"136","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.shadowkatmandu.net\/?p=136","title":{"rendered":"Friday Poetry &#8212; Identity Crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Identity Crisis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What if I am lost?<br \/>\nWhere might I turn?<br \/>\nWho am I, really?<br \/>\nThe answers confuse me<\/p>\n<p>I know them<br \/>\nI can hear them<br \/>\nI feel them in my soul<br \/>\nVoices shouting within<\/p>\n<p>Am I a boy or a girl?<br \/>\nAm I this color or that?<br \/>\nAm I a person of God?<br \/>\nSo many aspects to recall<\/p>\n<p>Yet here I stand<br \/>\nYet there I sit<br \/>\nYet my heart cries out<br \/>\nPerhaps in fear of the truth<\/p>\n<p>Where am I defined?<br \/>\nWhere is my identity?<br \/>\nWho will give it to me?<br \/>\nThe answer, in the end, is you.<\/p>\n<p>****<\/p>\n<p>One of my favorite anime series is Ranma 1\/2.\u00a0 I am pretty sure I have mentioned it before; it&#8217;s about a boy who turns into a girl when he&#8217;s hit with cold water and then back to a boy when hit with hot water.\u00a0 I recently got season one of this comedic Japanese show on DVD, and, as such things sometimes do, it inspired me a bit and I started dreaming up my own gender bending storyline.\u00a0 I have even written some of it down in the form of yet another webcomic script and even started to draw it.\u00a0 Anyway, the protagonist of my little farce has a significant identity crisis as a result&#8211;the male and female pieces are a little independent of each other&#8211;and so I thought of the above poem.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s all for this week.\u00a0 See you on Monday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Identity Crisis What if I am lost?
