{"id":19,"date":"2010-08-13T08:52:18","date_gmt":"2010-08-13T08:52:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.shadowkatmandu.net\/?p=19"},"modified":"2010-08-13T14:53:40","modified_gmt":"2010-08-13T14:53:40","slug":"friday-poetry-dark-moments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.shadowkatmandu.net\/?p=19","title":{"rendered":"Friday Poetry &#8212; Dark Moments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dark Moments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are moments<br \/>\nSome last for minutes<br \/>\nSome for days<br \/>\nWhere circumstances<br \/>\nAre harder to bear<\/p>\n<p>I sit in light<br \/>\nBut cannot see<br \/>\nMy mind is focused<br \/>\nOn things<br \/>\nI cannot control<\/p>\n<p>The rest of Life<br \/>\nSeems like an illusion<br \/>\nOnly the blackness<br \/>\nOf my thoughts<br \/>\nSeems clear<\/p>\n<p>I yearn for brighter times<br \/>\nEternity seems to pass<br \/>\nBefore they arrive<br \/>\nAnd when they do<br \/>\nThey are clouded<\/p>\n<p>I will not show my darkness<br \/>\nIt hides within me<br \/>\nFeeding on my very soul<br \/>\nMaking quite certain<br \/>\nMy dark moments return<\/p>\n<p>****<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know why, but I have been thinking a lot about Danny&#8217;s death recently. It&#8217;s shaded my life a bit, and thus produced the above free verse. Speaking of which, I plan to collect all the poetry I posted on my MySpace blog and put it on a website somewhere.
