Brrrr.\u00a0 The last week has been cold with a bit of snow.\u00a0 Well, the last couple of weeks, really, have seen a little snow.\u00a0 I had to get a ride to and \/ or from work from Sunday to yesterday.\u00a0 Tuesday night I would have been able to scooter home but it was really<\/em> cold and the dang bike wouldn’t start.\u00a0 That’s okay, though.\u00a0 The streets were still a bit slick when I rode it home last<\/em> night, so the night before might have still been too hazardous and a problem had I gotten it started.<\/p>\n

We got a new tower for the kitties.\u00a0 This is the kind of thing I have wanted to get for our cats for years:\u00a0 It’s taller than me with several levels and a few dangly things.\u00a0 It’s covered in a soft, leopard-print material.\u00a0 The support posts have thick rope wrapped around them for good scratching material.\u00a0 And it’s just freakin’ huge.\u00a0 It’s only problem is…well, we’re in a small duplex and it’s freakin’ huge.\u00a0 Ah, well, we will adapt to its presence.<\/p>\n

I ordered a new desk for myself yesterday.\u00a0 I think I mentioned last week I got a multi-monitor stand which won’t work with my current desk.\u00a0 The new desk is a little bigger, with three drawers on either side.\u00a0 Well, it appears to have a total of six drawers; I ordered it from Office Depot’s website and the picture may be deceiving.\u00a0 Sometimes what looks like more than one drawer isn’t, I know.\u00a0 I’ll find out later today.<\/p>\n

In EverQuest, I have found a good place to take Shaka while I am at work.\u00a0 There’s a special disguise I put on before entering the zone which lets me wander around it without getting attacked.\u00a0 So if I have to take a call at work, I only need to focus enough to finish my current assault.\u00a0 In spite of the fact that the mobs are relatively low level, I get decent experience, too.<\/p>\n

All of my primary characters are making good progress.\u00a0 Boom and Dan are edging quickly to their next levels.\u00a0 Shaka is moving fast through her AAs.\u00a0 They are knocking out tasks.\u00a0 In fact, there’s a group mission I managed to take on with them and with great effort beat.\u00a0 One of its three mini-bosses was particularly problematic as it does this pushback thing which makes it hard to fight, but I finally managed to get it down.\u00a0 This is a big accomplishment for me, as I haven’t been able to do a whole lot of missions like this all by myself.<\/p>\n
