{"id":354,"date":"2011-02-11T09:02:54","date_gmt":"2011-02-11T16:02:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.shadowkatmandu.net\/?p=354"},"modified":"2011-02-11T09:02:54","modified_gmt":"2011-02-11T16:02:54","slug":"friday-poetry-contemplating-the-journey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.shadowkatmandu.net\/?p=354","title":{"rendered":"Friday Poetry &#8212; Contemplating the Journey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Contemplating the Journey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I stop and wonder why<br \/>\nI took this road under the my sky<br \/>\nSo many paths to choose<br \/>\nSo many that I did refuse<br \/>\nIs the trail I&#8217;m on as narrow as I think<br \/>\nOr am I nowhere near the brink?<br \/>\nAll these questions running through my mind<br \/>\nMost of them are less than kind<br \/>\nAs I wonder and look around<br \/>\nSo many others to be found<br \/>\nSome trying to stop along their way<br \/>\nLearn more of their path every day<br \/>\nOthers just keep racing along<br \/>\nCare not where they&#8217;ve been, is that so wrong?<br \/>\nAnd here I am, somewhere in between<br \/>\nDon&#8217;t know where I&#8217;ve going, hardly where I&#8217;ve been<br \/>\nLife&#8217;s mystery is, I guess, why we live<br \/>\nEach moment worth the consideration we give<br \/>\nBefore onto the next we must go<br \/>\nAdding a bit more to what we know<br \/>\nSo I leave my pondering for another place<br \/>\nTime to move on, and continue the race<\/p>\n<p>****<\/p>\n<p>I started today&#8217;s poem with some deep free verse.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t like it, so I rewrote it with rhyming pairs but along a similar theme.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s all for now.\u00a0 See you next week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contemplating the Journey Sometimes I stop and wonder why I took this road under the my sky So many paths to choose So many that I did refuse Is the trail I&#8217;m on as narrow as I think Or am I nowhere near the brink?
