{"id":82,"date":"2010-09-10T13:16:50","date_gmt":"2010-09-10T19:16:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.shadowkatmandu.net\/?p=82"},"modified":"2010-09-10T13:16:50","modified_gmt":"2010-09-10T19:16:50","slug":"friday-poetry-focused-distraction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.shadowkatmandu.net\/?p=82","title":{"rendered":"Friday Poetry &#8212; Focused Distraction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Focused Distraction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I know what I am doing<br \/>\nI am on a well-plotted course<br \/>\nI am heading for success<br \/>\nWas that a purple horse?<\/p>\n<p>My goodness it was!<br \/>\nI have never seen such a beast<br \/>\nSuch beauty and such grace<br \/>\nI am hungry for a feast<\/p>\n<p>I want apple pie and cobbler<br \/>\nFor the main course I want some steak<br \/>\nSome sparkling juice to drink down<br \/>\nA good fortune I should make<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll earn it well and keep it all<br \/>\nAnd be as thrifty as I can<br \/>\nPeople will all look up to me and say<br \/>\nI going to get a minivan<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;ll have nine or ten seats<br \/>\nThe biggest will be in the back<br \/>\nIt&#8217;ll be in shades of blue and red<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s time to hit the sack<\/p>\n<p>Yes, it&#8217;s late and I feel tired<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve so much on this bright and sunny day<br \/>\nFocusing on each distraction<br \/>\nI love you so much, I will never stray<\/p>\n<p>****<br \/>\nSometimes, it&#8217;s hard to stay focused.
