Ticking Talking<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What’s that non-stop sound
\nI can clearly hear
\nSounds like a clock
\nSpeaking to my fear<\/p>\n

It’s the ticking talking
\nLife’s clock moving along
\nTelling me time won’t wait
\nI shouldn’t dally long<\/p>\n

I spend so many hours
\nDoing so very little
\nInto my life’s days
\nI carelessly whittle<\/p>\n

But isn’t that really
\nWhat Life is all about?
\nDoing lots of nothing
\nNever showing any doubt<\/p>\n

So my life’s clock speaks
\nIts ticking talking to me
\nI’ll listen and enjoy it
\nAnd live my life free<\/p>\n

Ah, time!\u00a0 Always a good subject for poetry.\u00a0 And appropriate today, as today is my day off from work and I get to spend it doing as much nothing as I like.\u00a0 I have done twelve hours of overtime this week and will do sixteen next week and every week thereafter until the boss says no more, which could be awhile.\u00a0 I would have done fourteen this week, but I spaced going in early on Monday.\u00a0 Now it’s fixed in my head to do so.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This, then, is my excuse for missing my post yesterday.\u00a0 I got up at 0730 and was out of the house ninety-ish minutes later.\u00a0 I went to the 7-11 and back so Sam could have smokes, and then went to work.\u00a0 Thursday is usually a day off, but won’t be for awhile now.\u00a0 I work 10 – 1830 on Thursdays for the foreseeable future.\u00a0 I need to do a little time management, I guess, so I don’t miss a Thursday post again.\u00a0 I didn’t have much to report on other than the overtime anyway.<\/p>\n
