Masks<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I’d like to wear
\nA mask each day
\nHide who I am
\nBe who I want to be
\nTo change my appearance
\nIn the wink of an eye
\nFool everyone who sees
\nI’m a different kind of guy
\nBut the masks I wear
\nFool no one at all
\nThey see who I am
\nOr don’t see me at all
\nPerhaps in some future
\nNear or far
\nI’ll find my masks
\nBut for now
\nHere I am.<\/p>\n

I watched Surrogates<\/em> last night with Bruce Willis.\u00a0 If you’ve not seen it, it’s a science fiction thriller in which people mostly live through robot bodies called surrogates.\u00a0 The concept is you lay back on chair or bed or whatever with an electronic gizmo which essentially reads your mind, or at least the part which controls your body.\u00a0 That data is sent to your surrogate, which looks very human but not necessarily like you.\u00a0 I personally think this would be a neat thing, but in the movie it’s overwhelmingly become a way of life.\u00a0 Anyway, it inspired today’s poem.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, I missed my Nothing Day post again.\u00a0 We had an important visitor yesterday and the day before at work–my boss’ boss–so laptops were not allowed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I mentioned my monitor issues last week and they continue.\u00a0 The next step is to try connecting my problem Displayport port to a monitor and have it be the only<\/strong> connected monitor port.\u00a0 I will try to do that tonight.\u00a0 I am expecting to spend most of the day away from the house trying to get my scooter serviced, finally getting the electrical problem which drains the batter fixed.<\/p>\n

I was not successful in flashing my router last week.\u00a0 By that I mean I could not flash it at all.\u00a0 I have tried and have not given up yet, but so far I am somewhere missing an important instruction I think.<\/p>\n
