It has been an interesting week.\u00a0 However, the two big things that happened…well, I don’t feel like saying much about them.<\/p>\n

The first was my daughter’s visit to Colorado Springs last weekend.\u00a0 She went camping with friends and then called me Sunday as she was coming back from her camping to see if we could get together.\u00a0 After work Sunday, I went down to the friends’ house she was staying at.\u00a0 It was late and I was tired, but it was nice to see her.\u00a0 On my way home, the bizarre happened and I got pulled over by a cop for going too slow on my scooter.\u00a0 I actually got a ticket.\u00a0 Yuck.\u00a0 For various reasons which I may explain next week, that’s all I want to say about that right now.\u00a0 Suffice to say it left me pretty unhappy and started a Monday of Mondays.\u00a0 The following morning, lots of little things went wrong.\u00a0 One of those days, you know.<\/p>\n

Yesterday I got to work early and the boss asked me to get on the phones even earlier than I usually do.\u00a0 We had a Situation, and that’s where I go silent.\u00a0 I don’t want to identify where I work, and saying too much about the Situation might be enough for somebody to figure out where I work.\u00a0 Yes, I know it’s paranoid, but workplaces sometimes find and monitor people’s blogs and I don’t want to someday get in trouble for saying something my employer doesn’t like.\u00a0 I like my job and my employer, but I am still paranoid about saying the wrong thing.<\/p>\n

On a bright note, I have the next two days off.\u00a0 I always have Friday off, and I asked and got Saturday off with hopes of going to the Renfest in Larkspur with one of two lovely ladies.\u00a0 Those plans fell through, but an extra day off work will probably do me good.\u00a0 I think I will see a movie one or both days.<\/p>\n
