My son has been here a week, and already Good Things are happening.\u00a0 Every day this week, we have gone for a morning walk.\u00a0 He has kept up with me, and I have not changed my pace.\u00a0 My pace is not terribly fast, but in the past he has had trouble doing that.\u00a0 Later today, we’re going on a longer-than-usual walk, and doing so with a purpose:\u00a0 He’s putting in his first application for employment here in Colorado.\u00a0 We’re going to the Arby’s I like to frequent which is a twenty to thirty minute walk from here.<\/p>\n

Later on, he’s going to go to the mall and fill in some applications.\u00a0 I am not sure how well any of this job-hunting will go, as he starts school next week.\u00a0 He is attending a “Life Skills” place that will give him a diploma for attending half-day classes for awhile.\u00a0 How long depends on him.\u00a0 The school thing is more important, though, so we’ll take it one step at a time.<\/p>\n
