It has been a shitty week.\u00a0 Last week, Spiff came home from school with a cold and was kind enough to share it with Sam and I.\u00a0 She came down with it first, and then I got sick.\u00a0 I first started feeling ill this past Saturday, but I went to work anyway.\u00a0 Missing on weekends without planning to is bad, as there is less people there to cover for me.\u00a0 It’s bad enough when I plan to be absent on a weekend.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When I left work Saturday, then, I was already feeling crappy.\u00a0 Then I discovered, to my horror, my scooter was gone.\u00a0 Some jackass(es) had stolen my one and only means of transportation.\u00a0 I went upstairs and talked to the security guard, who said the motorcycle parking area was empty when he came in two and a half hours earlier.\u00a0 He was kind enough to start my police report for me and take me home.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Sunday I felt worse, but went to church and work anyway.\u00a0 I got a ride to both–I got in touch with a coworker Saturday night and a church friend gave Spiff and I to church.\u00a0 The same friend then let me borrow her van on Monday.\u00a0 I have it for a couple of weeks while her son, who usually uses it, is out of town.\u00a0 It’s an aging Ford Windstar mini-van which I would dearly love to own, but haven’t yet convinced said friend to sell to me.\u00a0 Mostly, I think, because of her son’s continued need for it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Monday and Tuesday, I felt sick enough to stay home from work.\u00a0 I worked long hours on Wednesday and a normal day on Thursday, allowing for the fact that Thursday is usually a day off for me.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This, then, is my excuse for not posting this week except for my Wednesday Wanderings and today.\u00a0 I was sick and it was a crappy week.\u00a0 With luck, I’ll be back to normal posting next week.\u00a0 Meanwhile, here’s little verse to end my week with:<\/p>\n
