Friday Poetry — The Shifting Tides Of Love
The Shifting Tides Of Love
The water rises
High upon the shore
Then pulls back
Out to sea
Leaving change in its wake
The moon tugs
The ocean this way
And later it pulls
That way as well
Rising up and down like lovers
But is it an ocean
Of water we see
Or a sea of love
Moving back and forth
Toying with our hearts and minds?
Each day brings
New hope to us all
Little highs and lows
Changing us little by little
This is nature’s way
Cycling in and out
Playing with our hearts
Turning us around
On the shifting tides of love

Hope you enjoyed that whimsical bit of metaphorical free verse.
On a separate note, if you haven’t seen Jon Stewart’s interview with President Obama, you should. It’s fantastic. I’ll probably blog about it for my rant on Monday. See you then.
