Fun In The Sunburn

 

Ooh, I like to have
A day in the sun!
Laughing and playing
Having such fun!

But I am not the youth
I once may have been
Now I should worry about
The sun burning my skin

I am not saying I do
Because usually I do not
And a sunburn is the next thing
I usually have got

I don’t mind much
The fun makes it worthwhile
Here I am a week later
Memories making me smile

My head is peeling
My flesh is flaking away
But I can still giggle
About the fun I had that day

If the opportunity comes
I will surely do it again
And another week later
I will lose some more skin

Yes, I am still going on about my Awesome Day last week  My head is peeling, as I had not hair up there to stop it from burning.  I was smart enough to put some lotion on the burned parts as soon as I got home last Friday evening, and that probably helped some, but I am still flaky.  Or maybe I already was, if not in the same way.  See you Monday.
