The List

The man made a list
Of desired toys
Things he thought
Would bring him joys

On the top of the list
In position number one
Was a funny little gadget
Promising hours of fun

It cost him three paychecks
It was a pricey little thing
And for five solid hours
His heart did sing!

Next on his list
Was a shiny new car
It took him here and there
Places near and places far

This was practical, too
For it took him to his employment
He earned more money
For his heart-felt enjoyment

Somewhere down the list
He had in mind a mate
But for his heart’s desire
He had to wait

He finally had the money
And got a mail order bride
From a distant foreign land
A girl with nothing to hide

They soon fell in love
They had a lot of fun
On his list he decided
She should have been number one

This weird bit is inspired by my Grand Life Plan:  1.  Get a couple of toys.  b.  Get a car or truck or other vehicle (I favor getting a Jeep).  iii.  Get a house.  Four.  Get a mail order bride.  Parts b and iii are kinda important to part four.  I am not saying any of this will happen, but it is my current Grand Life Plan.

Have a great weekend.  See you Monday.
