It has been an interesting week.  However, the two big things that happened…well, I don’t feel like saying much about them.

The first was my daughter’s visit to Colorado Springs last weekend.  She went camping with friends and then called me Sunday as she was coming back from her camping to see if we could get together.  After work Sunday, I went down to the friends’ house she was staying at.  It was late and I was tired, but it was nice to see her.  On my way home, the bizarre happened and I got pulled over by a cop for going too slow on my scooter.  I actually got a ticket.  Yuck.  For various reasons which I may explain next week, that’s all I want to say about that right now.  Suffice to say it left me pretty unhappy and started a Monday of Mondays.  The following morning, lots of little things went wrong.  One of those days, you know.

Yesterday I got to work early and the boss asked me to get on the phones even earlier than I usually do.  We had a Situation, and that’s where I go silent.  I don’t want to identify where I work, and saying too much about the Situation might be enough for somebody to figure out where I work.  Yes, I know it’s paranoid, but workplaces sometimes find and monitor people’s blogs and I don’t want to someday get in trouble for saying something my employer doesn’t like.  I like my job and my employer, but I am still paranoid about saying the wrong thing.

On a bright note, I have the next two days off.  I always have Friday off, and I asked and got Saturday off with hopes of going to the Renfest in Larkspur with one of two lovely ladies.  Those plans fell through, but an extra day off work will probably do me good.  I think I will see a movie one or both days.

That’s all I have for now.  See you tomorrow.
