I have potentially good news about my son, Spaceman.  His catscan appointment yesterday went well.  His tumor thing has not grown in the last few months, so it may not be malignant.  They will test him again in six months to be sure.  Another test said his testosterone levels are low, so they gave him some medicine for that.  I got a text message from him later in the day saying the doctor told him his tumor problem was not responsible for his behavior.  That means he has to own up to it himself.  I haven’t talked to him about it, but I will.

Meanwhile, I had an unpleasant experience over the last week trying to do some website work for someone.  They needed a website for a Cause and I agreed to do it for free.  Well, they had trouble getting web host access information to me so I could actually create the site.  They blamed that on me, saying I should have called them.  They didn’t want to give me the login information by email.  I got access and they gave me some material to put on the site.  One thing they gave me was an old version of the site–something I could not find evidence existed–and I created the home page exactly the way that hard copy of the home page read.  They said I made “errors” and listed out changes they wanted made.  One of these errors, the one they called a “glaring” error, didn’t even exist.  The wording was exactly the way they wanted it.  On Tuesday they decided I wasn’t responsive enough and told me they were going to have somebody else do the site.  Good luck to them, I say.

On a brighter note, today is my first payday as a full, non-contractor employee of the company I work for.  If I get what I am hoping for, I will be able to pay rent, pay for cable (which includes the internet access I use to access my little blog here) and maybe even get the new chair I wanted to get a few weeks ago.

In EverQuest, Danielf reached level 90 and started earning AA’s pretty heavily.  He has a lot less than Boom, so he earns them even faster.  Shaka suffered a tragedy, though, which lost her some experience.  I went to help a guild friend and she died several times in the process.  She did not get a resurrection for one of these deaths, which in game terms means a significant loss of experience.  I think I am going to have to turn back her AA gain a little until she gets a higher amount of regular experience.  Right now she’s on a 90 / 10 AA / regular ratio, and between raids and regular group deaths she’s just not getting anywhere.

Dan also completed a set of tasks which let him get a better mercenary.  This has greatly improved my main trio; they kill their opponents in the game with great efficiency.

That’s it for this week.  See you tomorrow.
