Friday Poetry
0Everyone gather
It’s that time of year
For drinking and dancing
Such pagan holiday cheer
Some might point out
Their faith has the holiday now
To which I must say
Please don’t have a cow
This is a time for
Happiness my friend
Who cares where it started
Or where it might end
The Christians stole Christmas
From the pagans we’re told
But I bet that the pagans
Stole it from something so old
The fact is the origins
Are well out of sight
So to all Merry Christmas
And to all a good night!

One thing man has demonstrated a strong capability in is the ability to steal from himself. Our modern faiths can be traced back hundred or thousands of years. The true origins are lost in obscurity, so why fight about them. The Christians own Christmas now, the Jews have Hanukkah, etc. Anyway, that’s my Holiday Verse this year. See you Monday.
